Can automatic thumbnail navigation movement be turned off?

I would like to know if I can turn off the feature of a thumbnail navigation moving by itself after clicking an image in it, so that only manual dragging would move the navigation slider, instead of focusing itself.

Unfortunately, there is no easy solution.
The only way is to sync sliders manually like this:

const main = new Splide( ... );
const thumbs = new Splide( ... );

main.mount();
thumbs.mount();

thumbs.on( 'click', Slide => {
  main.go( Slide.index );
} );

main.on( 'move', index => {
  thumbs.go( index );
} );
